1.  I would like to see more than 20 students listed on the reports (specifically 'Blank Grade Sheet with Names')... this format makes it difficult to enter grades from hard copy roster and to keep track of assignments on a daily basis.

1.  Thank you for the suggestion!  Pinnacle heard our request and in the new 7.4 version, has made a change to the Student Assignment Report.  The Student Assignment Report now displays Grade Level, an assignment selection parapmeter has been added, the font size has been decreased so more assignments fit on one page.  Teachers can also enter a global comment to print on each report!  I expect that we will see these kinds of changes on other reports in the near future.

2. Is it possible to post a link from the PIV to the teacher's webpage?

2.  YES!  Great idea!  We will work on this and post an update when the link is there.  Keep in mind for last year's Pilot schools, the link will appear on August 20th when the PIV goes live.  For schools new to Pinnacle, that link will appear 2nd Quarter.

3. When using student explorer, the classroom number needs to print.  In high school we can use this feature to find a student, but if the classroom number isn't visible, then it doesn't do us much good.  We then need to go to yet another program to figure out where the student is.

3.  This is a great idea!  I have submitted this change to Excelsior Software for consideration.  Thank you for taking the time to help them improve the quality of their software!

4. Is it possible to print a report of students that rank them according to their grade?  (Ex. 100, 99, 98...)

4.  A report of this nature is not currently available however; I have submitted the suggestion to Excelsior Software for inclusion in a future version.

5. As a high school teacher, I would really like to be able to view something close to a transcript.  For example, I teach math and I would like to know the grade earned in the previous math course and what that course was.  This could help with placement and it tells me what level the student is entering my class at.

5.  Because this information could come from outside sources (example, a different school district) a report of this nature would have to come from SASI, our Student Management System.

6.  For the Category Summary Report, I would really like the ability to have a pubic posting.  For any report, I would like to be able to sort the grades.

6.  Thank you.  I have submitted this suggestion to Excelsior Software for consideration.

7.  High School really needs to be able to see the counselor for each student.  Could this be placed on the student's schedule?

8.  I would really like something that says when the teacher last updated grades.  Parents start e-mailing that thier student just turned in an assignment and expect it to be on the Pinnacle site.  if there was a little red note that says grades were last entered on this date, that would help communicate when the teacher last entered grades.  If principals can run a report seeing what teachers are doing, this feature should be an easy upgrade.  Most important, it will help with the communication with parents.

9.  Here are a couple of things that Kingswood teachers would like to see in Pinnacle:

Printing up a student report w/out having to print up one page for each subject.
9A.  You can run the Parent Conference Report - Quarter, which will give you a final grade for any previous quarter and a current grade for the current quarter.  If you would like some detail regarding the assignments for each course for the quarter, you could also run the Student Assignment Report - All Classes - Quarter.  This will be more than one page, but will be less than a page for each subject.

A parent sign and return line on the reports.
9A.  The Student Assignment Report does allow you to have a parent signature line.  For students who you would like a response from parents, this would be the report to use.

10.  I would love the Missing Assignment Report for the quarter to include for the elementary level one that is for the "CORE" (Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies subjects only or the possibilty to be able to click on multiple subjects.  It wastes multiple pages to print up PE missing work.    In many reports it would be nice to be able to hold the shift button and do just two or three subjects.

It would also be nice to put multiple students on one page with the missing reports .  Past programs I have worked with allowed you to shrink to 2 or 4 students on a page saving tons of paper.

10A. We can pass these recommendation on to the company.  They have taken some our requests into consideration.  Maybe this will be included in an upcoming version.

The language objectives should have all inclusive objectives like the standards.  Instead of 10 objectives on capitals--- how about Uses capitals correctly.  This could be an added option for teachers in the upper grades who score an essay for all aspects not 10 different.   Many writing objectives could be left separate but also include an objective that is all inclusive like Using word choice well.  Of course these should be stated like the AZ standards.

10A.  The company purchases the Strands, Concepts, and PO's directly from the Arizona Department of Education, so they should match exactly to what you would view on the ADE website.

11.  Would it be possible to have a notation for "EXCUSED" and have those Excused items not print on a missing assignment report.  A student who entered school 3 weeks late has several empty assignments prints out all those blanks and parents think they are all missing assignments rather than when the student didn't attend the school.

11A.  You can enter an X for these assignments.  The X is the Excused code for an assignment.

12.  Can you please add a feature that allows us to duplicate assignments with their objectives so that we do not have to create standard weekly (spelling) tests that repeat themselves all year long.

12A.  I believe we have already requested this feature to be included in an upcoming version of the On-Line Gradebook, but I will send this suggestion again.  Thank you.

13.  Really need an UNDO feature.  Sometime you mistype a grade and you have no idea what you just typed over.

13A.  This is another good recommendation.  I will forward this on to the company.

14. It would be nice to be able to choose what assignments I want shown in the "Grade Sheet" report.  I don't necessarily need to post the 5 grades per week of bell work, but want the regular assignments and tests.

14A.  I just sent a recommendation from someone on the Frequently Asked Questions Page.  I recommended that the reports be run by picking assignments or minimally by category.  Hopefully we will see something in an upcoming version.
